During the Symposium on the Sacred Right of Religious Freedom & Liberty of Conscience held April 24–27, 2025, at the Augusta Civic Center in Maine, Ron Duffield presented on the historical and prophetic insights surrounding liberty of conscience in the context of Seventh-day Adventist history. His presentation drew from a series of four key articles written by Ellen G. White, published in the Review and Herald between December 1888 and January 1889. These articles provide powerful counsel on religious liberty, the role of the state, and the individual's duty to God over human authority.
